Razorsight Sponsors NVTC Public Policy Series Featuring FCC Chairman

Razorsight CEO Charlie Thomas Introduces FCC Chairman Julius Genachowski

FAIRFAX, VA - May 3, 2010 - Razorsight Corporation, the only Cloud Computing provider of profit analytics solutions for communications service providers (CSPs), participated today as the lead sponsor in the season finale of the Northern Virginia Technology Council's (NVTC) Public Policy Series.

Federal Communications Commission Chairman Julius Genachowski joined NVTC today for the final event in its Fall 2009 • Spring 2010 Public Policy Series. At this special luncheon event, Chairman Genachowski sat down with moderator Jim Fleming, Partner at Columbia Capital, for a conversation about the FCC's recently released National Broadband Plan, addressing key topics including spectrum allocation and broadband's role in many facets of our lives including health care, education and energy efficiency. The two also discussed other areas of telecom on the minds of the region's technology community. Considering the latest legal developments in the net neutrality debate, the Chairman's insights were very timely. Mr. Genacowski and Mr. Fleming were introduced by Razorsight CEO Charlie Thomas who also made opening remarks.

Chairman Genachowski was nominated by President Barack Obama as Chairman of the Federal Communications Commission and sworn into office on June 29, 2009. Prior to his appointment to the FCC, Julius co-founded LaunchBox Digital and Rock Creek Ventures. In these capacities, Julius worked to start, accelerate, and invest in early- and mid-stage technology and other companies. From 1997-2005, he was a senior executive at IAC/InterActiveCorp, a Fortune 500 company, where his positions included Chief of Business Operations and General Counsel. Genachowski’s previous public service spanned broadly across government, including positions as Chief Counsel to FCC Chairman Reed Hundt and Special Counsel to then-FCC General Counsel (later Chairman) William Kennard; and as law clerk at the U.S. Supreme Court for Justice David Souter and Justice William J. Brennan, Jr. (ret.).

"Google, Apple, Microsoft, Cisco, IBM, Facebook, etc. are among the most admired companies in the world. They form a huge Ecosystem dependent on Broadband Connectivity. Going forward, these companies will lead America's Economic Recovery and Broadband Access will play an Integral role in such. Hence, much like the Federal Reserve's Monetary Policy, the FCC's Public Policy will lead our Economic Growth and America's Global Leadership for years to come," stated Charlie Thomas, CEO of Razorsight in his opening comments.
